Clearwater Celebrations

20 Jan

Margz and Simon had been guests at a wedding I did about 4 years ago.

They emailed me from London and we confirmed a date.

They were wonderfully relaxed and calm.

Then Feb struck and the church they had booked was ‘munted’

I said.. could you get married at Clearwater?

Simon replied with “her family is Irish Catholic, it’s a wedding in a church or no wedding at all”

Gotta admire the spirit.

In the end they DID find a church. A beautiful one at that.

And the day went of without a hitch (bad pun?)

The wind was interesting, but we had so much fun with them, it was hardly a factor at all.

Hardly… ;)

The bridal party were awesome. Really, it was just like hanging out with a bunch of your highschool mates.

A great day all round.

A Beautiful Summer wedding at Trents

20 Jan

This is a wee lookie at Jacinda and Graeme’s gorgeous wedding at Trents.

I always love photographing there, as there are so many fab places to explore.

The day was so much fun, and this girl deserves a medal for being the coolest, calmest bride ever!

Hello my lovelies!

I wanted to let you know that I will be taking LIMITED portrait bookings for the next wee while.

I’m still here, and I still love all my wonderful clients, and will of course still take and process orders.

I am still doing weddings, so please still feel free to email me with any enquiries you may have.

At this stage I am nearly booked up , so get in quick if you have enquiries about the 2011-12 season!

Otherwise, I shall inform you of any news and or specials which may pop up sporadically!

All the best!

Beautiful People

22 Aug

These are some major favourites of mine.
I shot their wee family about 3 1/2 or 4 years ago, and then sold them my beloved V.W beetle (red, 1962, love of my life….) hehe
So they found me again, and let me know they had added a new addition to their family.
These guys make the CUTEST kids…
I was fighting the clucky that day!
Both James and I got to have a bit of a hold of Baby Jack (6 weeks) and the clucky knocked at the door somewhat more..
I fought it off with deep resilience though ;)

Here’s just a couple :

Photoshoot in Amberley

12 Jul

Last weekend, James and I set off on a bit of a road trip (just a bit ;) ) to North Canterbury- Amberley.

There we found a lovely family, a dog, a lamb, and a tractor!

It was turning into a beautiful sunny day, but there was still a heavy frost on the ground….

A frozen fish pond, a super cool dog that could jump a fence on command, and a week old baby lamb, made for a fun family shoot.

Here is a tiny peek at it:

Oh I have the worst job in the world….

Ha!!

Yesterday I was asked to photograph the very talented Kyleighs incredible desserts.

It’s for a very special project, that I will link to as soon as she says ‘Go!!” you will just have to take my word for it when I say that this girl was born with cooking utensils in her talented wee hands.

And, you know, after we had finished the shoot…

She let me sample the goods.

and Oh. My. Gosh.

This stuff is actually to DIE for it’s so good.

Here is a wee look in…

Animals and Children {you can work with them!}

23 May

I had a ball photographing the gorgeous Watson family on Saturday.

They have an adorable daughter called Zoe, and the coolest dog called Cooper. he was bounding around and looked almost like he was jumping in slow motion.

Zoe was the kind of 3 year old that you WISH you had. She listened, she came up with her own moves, and she was a total star.

Any time miss Zoe… if only everyone  could be so cool!!! teehee.

- {of course there are some pretty wicked parents behind the very cool Zoe…)

and…. they planked!!! (google it.)

Could I have been with anyone more like myself?

I love my job.
